By ordering a commission, you agree to the following:
General
You must be 18 or older to order a commission.
Communication is done over email ([email protected]) or FA notes.
Commissions are not first come, first served; I will choose forms that best suit my interests.
I do not keep a wait list; simply re-apply the next time I announce openings.
Alternate versions must be specified in the form and will be priced based on work required.
Prices & Payment
All prices are in USD.
I take Payment via Square (preferred) or Interac E-Transfer (Canada) only. Square accepts all major credit cards, as well as Visa/Mastercard Debit. You do not need to sign up for an account.
Commissions must be paid in full upfront.
Payment is not taken until I am ready to start your commission. I will send you an itemized invoice.
Detailed clothing, props, armor, fur patterns, special effects, food mess, and mechanical parts may incur an extra charge. This list is non-exhaustive.
Revisions
After payment, you will receive the sketch for approval. At this point, you may request up to 3 minor revisions. Revisions beyond these are $10 per revision.
For illustrations that include backgrounds, I send over thumbnails for approval at no extra charge. I accept one complete redo in the sketch phase, and 3 minor revisions after that. Revisions beyond these are $10 per revision.
Major revisions (limb placement, facial structure changes, etc.) cannot be made once the sketch has been approved.
Revisions cannot be made to works once they have been completed.
I accept revisions on things that I have forgotten or missed, like markings or accessories. This comes at no extra fee provided the information was included in the original reference sheet or description.
Cancellation & Refunds
I reserve the right to decline any commission.
If work on the commission has been started, refunds are not available.
If I have not completed your commission within 30 days of payment, you may request a refund.
If I need to cancel the commission due to events in my own life, a full refund will be issued.
Usage & Rights
I, the artist, retain all copyright to the art. Feel free to make icons or a personal print, but you may not use them for your own profit. This includes selling prints and merchandise with the artwork.
You may post any art made for you to your page, crop it for an icon, or color my sketches or line art- I don’t mind at all, but please credit me! (@mellowhen)
I reserve the right to stream myself working on your commission, post WIP images on social media, or use the finished art in my portfolio.
If you wish to remain anonymous, please inform me when submitting your form.
If you want the artwork kept private indefinitely, it will cost an additional 25% of the commission price. This fee does not apply to commissions kept private for only a set amount of time, such as holiday or birthday gifts.

I am going to split the cost of my commission with a friend. Can we pay you separately?
Only one invoice is issued per commission transaction, and only one person can be the payer of a invoice. If you plan on sharing the cost of a commission with others, decide who will be responsible for paying the invoice and have everyone pool their money with that person. You are limited to 3 free minor revisions regardless of how many people are splitting.
What files do I get with my commission?
You will receive a full resolution .png and half resolution "web friendly" .jpg of your commission. You are free to post either version publicly. You may request a transparent background on simple character pieces or line art free of charge. The source files (.clip or .psd) can be purchased for an additional 10% of your commission price. Please request the source files when you send in your form.
I don't have a reference for my character. Can you work from a description?
I can work with you to create your character from a mood board as a separate commission. If your proposed design is simple, I can work them into a larger illustration directly. Please note that you are limited to 3 free revisions to the entire piece regardless of which method you decide. You will own all rights to a character once the work is completed.
Do you offer commercial work?
Yes. Commissioned work of this kind has an entirely different set of prices and conditions. Commercial commissions allow you to pay for licensing rights, such as the right to reproduce the work or to indirectly profit from it. Examples of this are sticker designs, dakimakura illustrations, and other promotional material. Please do not use the price sheet on this website as an indication of Commercial Pricing. Please email me to find out more about those services and my availability. I will need an abstract of the project to give an accurate quote.
